Chi Nei Tsang

Abdominal & Organ-Centered Bodywork

A quiet, organ-centered bodywork practice for when your system has been holding a lot.

Chi Nei Tsang works directly with the abdomen, where stress, digestion, emotion, and nervous system patterns often converge. It can be helpful when you’re living with chronic tension or inflammation, digestive discomfort, burnout, fertility-related challenges, pre-menstrual syndromes, postpartum recovery, or a sense of disconnection from your body.

Through gentle, responsive touch, the body is invited to release what it has been managing silently and return to a sense of internal ease.

Subtle, grounded, and deeply supportive.

How Many Sessions to Consider

& Over What Time Period

Chi Nei Tsang works best as supportive, relational care rather than a one-off intervention. Frequency depends on your history, current capacity, and what your body is working with.

These are realistic examples, not prescriptions. We always reassess together.

1 session every 4 - 6 weeks

General Support & Regulation

Helpful for better bowel movements, lympthatic flow and vital and hormonal recalibration, for people who feel functional but tense, over-driven, or disconnected from their body.

Weekly or bi-monthly sessions over 2 - 4 months

Chronic digestive issues or long-term inbalances

Allows tissues, organs, and the nervous system to respond gradually. For people who have tried a lot and are still looking for pain relief and a lasting change.

PMS and cyclical tension

1 session per cycle or every 4–6 weeks

Alleviates menstrual discomfort, bloating, abdominal congestion, swelling and emotional reactivity by improving circulation, tissue structure and softening chronic holding.

Client voice —Kayla

“Kat is phenomenal at holding space for a very delicate area. Her touch is light when needed and strong when needed. The whole time I felt supported to breathe through parts that were uncomfortable and listened to if it was too much. The process had space for things to come up, to move, and to be felt. The experience and the whole set up was thoroughly thought through. Kat provided information to me and it helped to guide the session. I hope to go deeper and really work with her through these sessions. Highly recommend.”

Your Questions, Answered
  • Chi Nei Tsang is generally experienced as slow, attentive, and deeply grounding rather than forceful. The touch is responsive to your nervous system and tissue, not imposed on it.
At times, certain areas may feel tender or emotionally charged, especially where the body has been holding tension or guarding for a long time. We always work within your capacity and adjust pressure and pacing continuously. Many people report a sense of relief, spaciousness, or quiet fatigue afterward rather than soreness.

  • Absolutely, very normal and very common. The abdomen is an intimate and often protected area, both physically and emotionally.
Part of the work of Chi Nei Tsang is meeting that hesitation with respect, not pushing past it. You are always in control, and consent is ongoing throughout the session. We move at a pace that allows your system to feel safe enough to soften, or simply to be met where it is without needing to change. I work breath-based, which means I apply the touch together with your exhale and will only go as far as your body wants me to go.

  • Yes. While Chi Nei Tsang works with the organs and digestive system, many people come because of burnout, chronic stress, emotional holding, or a sense of disconnection from their body.
The abdomen is closely linked to the nervous system and emotional regulation. As physical tension releases, emotional material or awareness can arise naturally. This is not something we force or analyze, but something the body is allowed to process in its own way.

  • Chi Nei Tsang is most effective as ongoing supportive care rather than a single fix.
Some people notice shifts after one session, while for others the changes unfold gradually. For chronic patterns such as long-term digestive issues, inflammation, or stress-related holding, a rhythm of sessions over several weeks can support deeper and more lasting change. We reassess together based on how your body responds, rather than following a fixed protocol.

  • Often yes, and this is where Chi Nei Tsang can be especially supportive. The work is adapted to your current capacity, whether your system needs gentle regulation, support during recovery, or help unwinding long-standing patterns.
That said, Chi Nei Tsang is not a replacement for medical care. It works best as a complementary practice, supporting the body’s own regulation alongside other forms of care you may be receiving.

Client Reviews

“I don’t think I could have softened if it weren’t for the container created by Kat. The process was gentle, and in some places, there was resistance or tension, with encouragement to release it. I loved the open and intuitive nature, with breath to support release. I would highly recommend. The entire experience was intuitive, caring, and highly supportive of my needs, and I will definitely be returning for more. Thank you, Kat. :-)”

“My session came at a perfect time when I was feeling very depleted. Kat was deeply supportive from start to finish and I was able to relax so deeply that I went into a beautiful dreamy and easeful state that lasted for a couple of days after. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much better my digestion was after. I would love to continue as I can see how important it is for our organs and overall health and wellbeing. Thanks Kat!”

— Devlin

“The entire session is transforming at so many levels! You are transformed after, because it makes your attention and focus go inwards towards your inner self at a deeper level. I could literally feel me! And I’m so connected with all of me ❤️”
