About The Retreat Lab

Where Inner Work Meets Real-World Transformation

The Retreat Lab was born from a simple question: What happens when inner work meets real life?

After years of leading retreats, training teachers, and guiding hundreds of people through deep transformation, I saw a pattern. People could touch extraordinary insight in a retreat or ceremony, yet struggle to bring it home. Businesses could carry beautiful intentions, yet lose coherence when translated into action.

I created The Retreat Lab as a living experiment in integration. A space where soul work and structure, personal and professional, spiritual and practical, can finally belong together.

For individuals, it is a place to reconnect with your essence, reclaim self-trust, and embody the life that truly fits you.
For organizations, it is a creative studio for building regenerative, soulful ecosystems that sustain transformation in the real world.

My work weaves strategy, embodiment, and consciousness into one continuous practice. I bring my experience as a 500-hour E-RYT yoga and meditation teacher, management consultant, and former CEO of a retreat center in Bali, together with a lifelong study of human transformation.

At its heart, The Retreat Lab is about alignment: helping people and projects become what they truly are, with clarity and integrity.

Intricacies of a human life. The details of staying aware and involved in life.

The Name

Retreat speaks to the inner space we return to when we slow down enough to listen.
Lab reminds us that life is an ongoing experiment, not a finished product.

Here, both come together as a philosophy of practice: RETREAT + LAB = living and creating as an act of inquiry, curiosity, and embodied wisdom.

Densly packed life with no space to breath - let's unpack what is making you feel stuck and support more expansion to come back into your life.

Because growth needs space.

The Retreat Lab was born from the understanding that retreat is not an escape, it’s an experiment. A place to slow down enough to see clearly, feel deeply, and return to what matters.

Clarity comes through presence.
We explore how structure and soul can coexist. How inner practice becomes outer change.

Founder’s note / Kat’s story

A life built at the threshold

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the places in between.
The visible and the unseen.
The practical and the poetic.
The self that performs and the self that quietly knows.

As a child, I created a small altar in the room shared with my younger brother. A paper box covered with my grandmother’s lace napkin. A bowl of water. Wildflowers from the garden. A candle. A drawing of mine. I would sit before it with my eyes closed for a few minutes each day, long before I had heard the word meditation, and much to my mother’s disapproval.

Even then, I felt the pull to make the invisible visible. To give form to what cannot be explained.

Art became my first language of prayer. I painted in secret for years, exploring the textures of emotion that have no words. Later, that same curiosity led me into the world of business. I became a management consultant and e-commerce strategist, learning how ideas, systems, and teams move when they are aligned and what happens when they are not.

Over time, the outer structures began to feel too narrow for the questions that lived inside me. I left that world and followed the call of yoga, meditation, and spiritual practice. I became a teacher, a space holder, and eventually the CEO of a retreat center in Bali.

Motherhood arrived in the midst of it all, deepening my understanding of what it means to hold life in both tenderness and strength.

I spent years guiding others through transformation while leading teams and building systems behind the scenes. Those years taught me that depth and structure are not opposites. They are what keep each other alive.

Eventually, the work invited me deeper too. Through illness, loss, and reinvention, I came to understand that integration is not a stage after awakening but the heart of it. True change asks to be lived in our bones, in our calendars, and in our choices.

The Retreat Lab is my way of offering that understanding back into the world. It is not about escaping life but entering it fully. Through body, breath, business, and being. As the living experiment it is meant to be.

Through all of these thresholds, and many more left unnamed, I made a commitment: to be a space where others can exhale, take peaceful refuge, and meet the sacred edge of change with courage and curiosity.

It is here you will be safely supported as you navigate your own thresholds, whether personal or professional, visible or unseen. No one can cross them for you, yet you do not have to walk alone.

Through presence, inquiry, and embodied practice, we explore the spaces where growth asks to take form. Here, transformation becomes lived, integration becomes natural, and you remember that you are not only capable of aliveness, but inherently destined for it.

Ripples and layers of life, within and without.
Coffee cup stains forming circles and splatters, some with a heart shape inside.

What we do

The Retreat Lab works through four distinct but interconnected fields. I use the word field intentionally. Each field is an environment with its own principles, tools, and impact. Rather than offering isolated services, I work within fields that support different dimensions of human and organizational development.

The four fields create a comprehensive framework:
mindset and awareness, body and energy, relationships and integrity, and strategy and structure.
You can enter through any field, knowing that each one strengthens the others.
